The objective of this project is to facilitate greater visibility into the independent retail market. You will find the sales templates here as well as a button to add a document. This is where you will provide your communication and sales reporting quarterly.
This portal will be used to easily keep track of progress as we move forward with the introduction of the product and company to the network.
Hi Michelle,
I wanted to send a test message once our internet came back up. It was great speaking with you today and I look forward to working with you! I will keep you updated with the status of our “About Us” page and new images for the boy’s blanket.
Carrie
Hello Michelle,
I wanted to update you and let you know I have the new About Us write up and am waiting on the boy’s space blanket images. I should have everything in the next couple days, which will be in time for your email blast to go out.
Hello Michelle,
I have sent all the updates to Paula, but when she sent me everything to look at, it was not correct yet. I want to make sure everything is right before we send out a mass email and as of right now it is not. I will let you know when it is good to go.
Sounds good! I checked it a few minutes ago and I still did not see all the images. I will keep you updated.

Hello Michelle,
Our sell sheet and web page is good to go! We are good for the mass email communication.
I will start checking on Friday! Hopefully we procur lots of interest
Hello Michelle,
When I receive an inquiry about our products, should I reach out via phone first?
Also, are all the sellers verified on the boutique? I am assuming there is a process to verify them as a legitimate seller, but wanted to confirm that is the case.
Thank you! I have already begun getting inquiries. I will start by calling the owners, and following up with an email.
Hi Michelle,
I thought of another question. How do the buyers pay for the merchandise? How do they submit a buyers submsission?
Hello Michelle,
Talking with these store owners was an awakening experience. I see that this path to retail could take forever. I have a question, since we already have a deal with Meijer, can’t we fast track and go right to other retailers? We only received a few inquiries and none of them sound super interested.
I have copied the above list and already emailed all of them. Yes, I can see how this can be a very, very long process, which is difficult for me because I am ready to go. However, once we supply blankets for Meijer, isn’t that enough to move forward with other bigger retailers? They are a large chain and should be a good reference for how we can supply according to demand.
Once I reach out to the initial interested parties, I am assuming next steps is to start cold-calling everyone else from the boutique website?
Thank you for the information! I have contacted everyone on the list either via phone or email. I will follow-up the emails with another email in the next couple days.
Yes, I did, Michelle. I will be reaching out to the individuals that I sent a sample out to for feedback.
Hi Michelle,
I have a question for you. Is there a way to get a refund on the 2500? I am just seeing that this is going to take years and frankly, I dont want to wait years to go retail. I have reached out to everyone on the list at least twice and sent out a couple of samples, and nothing. I think with Meijer buying our product that should be enough to get another retail deal and should skip all of this as they are a fairly large retail chain. I just see that this is not going to work out and will take years, which I don’t want to wait for. Of course, if we can’t get a refund, we will continue on since we paid for it, but this process is painful and I don’t see it going anywhere. I was excited at first, but now I see how this goes and am no longer hopeful about this working.
Hello Michelle,
I will continue on with the program since we already paid and is non-refundable. However, isn’t there a fast track once we go live with Meijer? Don’t they equate for 15-20 small stores since they will be ordering thousands of units? It seems like they would be enough to go to retailers with especially since we will be EDI established, have the necessary insurance policies, and be GS1 128 barcode capable. Is this something you can check into? Into my mind, Meijer should be all we need to move forward with other retailers. I will continue following up with the leads.
Hello Michelle,
Thank you for checking into this for me. I appreciate it. I will follow-up with the new leads and update soon.
So, we have solidified our deal with Meijer and they are ordering over 2000 blankets. We are EDi AS2 ready, insured according to the compliance mandate for most retailers and ready to go full retail and by pass the small time shops where we are not getting anywhere. We are retail ready. Can we move forward with reaching out to retailers? If not, then should I reach back out after Meijer products have shipped? Reaching out to these small time shops is a waste of my time as it is not going to go anywhere.
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the response. I probably won’t be doing anything with this then as I feel like I can skip reaching out to all the small business owners because Meijer is equivalent to more than 20 of those stores and should suffice in showing the trend other retailes are looking for. However, I see we disagree on this and your company does not see Meijer who has 255 stores and is buying over 2000 blankets as being sufficient, which I don’t get. Thank you so much and best of luck. I will continue reaching out to retailers on my own once we get our new products in as I feel we will get picked up soon.
